2016 is coming to an end. Now that we are approaching the end of the year, just reflect back, what was your resolution(s) again? Anything to do with weight loss? How about healthier body and fitness approach?

After a whole year of hectic work schedule, social events such as weddings, birthdays, farewells and other parties, and all the other dramas going around, that you do not realise what you are putting into your body or what you are NOT putting into your body.

So, here is the real question to ask yourself, “Do I really need a detox?”

The answer is, everyone needs a detox. Detox or detoxification is a process where we push out toxins from our body. This can be done through various method. Sometimes, you may need to see a physician or a Naturopath before you start out certain detox programme. Juice fasting, water fasting, taking laxatives or detox tea, undergoing colon cleansing or colon enema, or altering your food for a detox are just a few, safe ways to detox your body.

Now, the purpose of elimination is restore the vital health or the vital energy of the body, in order to sustain better. There is a saying, ‘you need to let bad things go in order for good things to come’. Well, toxins is bad and healthy body is good, agree?

Cleansing and detoxification is known as a way to avoid illness and has been practiced for longevity and healing purposes, long, long time ago. It is believed that when one’s body is full of toxins or waste materials, the body is very susceptible for disease invasion.
