7 CHRONIC IMPACTS OF HEAVY METALS TO THE BODY

The article below is to remind us to be extra careful of the exposure of heavy metals which its consequences can COST US A FORTUNE in our future healthcare!

Heavy metal poisoning can lead to serious health problems. These include organ damage, behavioral changes, and difficulties with thinking and memory. . Heavy metals can get in your system in different ways. You might breathe them in, eat them, or absorb them through your skin. If too much metal gets into your body, it can cause heavy metal poisoning.

SHARE these reminders below to your beloved friends and family members who might have similar concerns to help them understand more!

1. HAIR LOSS

Thallium, mercury, selenium, and colchicine have compelling evidence linking toxic levels of these substances to hair loss. There are a number of compounds identified that cause alopecia when taken at toxic levels, either accidentally or intentionally. These agents include heavy metals, such as thallium and mercury, for which industrial and mechanical workers are at most risk for exposure.

2. KIDNEY DAMAGE

Heavy metals such as cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), lead (Pb), chromium (Cr) and platinum (Pt) are a major environmental and occupational hazard. Unfortunately, these non-essential elements are toxic at very low doses and non-biodegradable with a very long biological half-life but will cause big troubles for the kidneys.

Being responsible for maintaining body homeostasis and waste management, the kidneys are an important primary target of these hazards and thus are highly vulnerable to their toxic effects.

3. ALLERGIC HYPERSENSITIVITY

The symptoms of metal hypersensitivity are caused when the body's immune system starts to view metal ions as foreign threats. The cells that make up the immune system normally kill foreign bacteria and viruses by causing inflammation. If they begin attacking metal ions that you touch, eat, inhale, or have implanted in you, they can produce a variety of symptoms. Potential metal allergens (triggers of allergic reactions) are very common in everyday life.

Typical sources such as watches, coins, and jewellery come readily to mind. However, there are also other less obvious sources of metal in our daily lives. For example, cosmetic products and contact lens solutions may also contain metals that can trigger a reaction at the area of contact.

4. OSTEOPOROSIS

Cadmium is one of the heavy metals of the greatest concern. Once cadmium gets in the bone, it will kick out zinc. Of special interest, zinc is a mineral not only needed for bone strength, but for over 200 other enzymes in the body. Once cadmium displaces enough zinc, the bones lose its strength and you have a greater potential of developing osteopenia, osteomalacia, easy fractures and osteoporosis. Cadmium actually makes the bone matrix, which is mostly collagen, abnormally weak.

5. HEART DISEASES

Exposure to arsenic, cadmium, copper, and lead is linked to an increased risk of heart disease and stroke, according to a new analysis published today in the British Medical Journal. The greater a person's exposure, the study found, the greater the risk of cardiovascular disease. People who had more exposure to cadmium and lead were also more likely to have a stroke than those with less exposure.

6. WEAKEN BRAIN FUNCTIONS

As the primary target is the nervous system, chronic mercury exposure can cause symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, headache, and poor recall and concentration. In severe cases chronic exposure leads to intellectual deterioration and neurologic abnormality. Chronic exposure to organic mercury mainly damages the nervous system, which causes fatigue, weakness, headaches, poor concentration, and emotional disturbance. Serious cases involve cognitive and sensory disorders, peripheral neuropathy, tremor, dysarthria, gait disturbance, visual disturbance, and auditory disorders.

Get yourself checked today with Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) which is a totally painless, non-invasive and easy way to find out if our bodies are loaded with heavy metals like mercury, lead, cadmium, arsenic and more.

Apart from toxic elements, HTMA is able to check on our MINERAL LEVEL including potassium, calcium, copper, magnesium to determine if we are having any mineral deficiency or excess that will affect our overall health! NO BLOOD TAKING NEEDED! .

BENEFITS OF HTMA:

- Identify the causes of skin problems, such as eczema, psoriasis, scalding - Boost up our digestive system such as appetite, bowel movement

- Improved brain functions & performance such as focus & concentration, sleep quality

- Check if we should go for heavy metal detox / removal

- Make sure we have balanced nutrient mineral level – not too much or less

- Stabilize emotion to prevent mood swing & anxiety problem

- Find out if we supplement ourselves correctly

- Non-Invasive

- Painless

- High accuracy

- Easy & fast sampling procedure
