What is EWOT?
Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT) is an effective training system to increase the intake of high level of oxygen during exercise. EWOT is able to improve our oxygen circulation, restore blood flow in the body and increase production of ATP (cell’s fuel). Breathing concentrated oxygen while exercising can trigger anti-inflammatory response effects and provide an immediate increase in strength, endurance and energy by increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, plasma and tissues.
What is Oxygen and Its Importance?
So why is getting enough oxygen so important? For one thing, research is pointing to a lack of oxygen in the blood (called hypoxia) as a leading cause of many cancers. According to researchers at the University of Georgia, “low oxygen levels in our cells may be a primary cause of uncontrollable tumor growth in some cancers. ” And a study conducted at Washington State University found that when high-pressure oxygen was used on a culture of human leukemia cells, it reduced cancer cell growth by 15 percent.
On average, we’re only breathing about 21% oxygen, the remainder is nitrogen and other gasses. There are many factors that contribute to oxygen loss in the body such as internal and external pollutants, mental strain, physical overstrain, disease and or trauma. In addition, as we age, our bodies become less effective at delivering oxygen to our cells, increasing the chances of degeneration and disease.
The bottom line is that we can’t live without oxygen. And when our cells aren’t receiving enough oxygen on a daily basis, it will affect many aspects of our health.
