Delicious & Nutritious Beet Juice
Ingredients:
• 1 knob ginger
• 1 clove of garlic
• 1 beet (medium size)
• 2 carrots
• 1 lemon
• 1 cucumber
Preparation:
1. Prepare all the ingredients and put all into the juicer.
2. Blend it and it's ready to serve!
Benefits:
Beet root
The high nitrate content of beetroot juice, which actually widens the blood vessels when it enters the body as nitrite, lowers blood pressure within one hour of ingestion.
Garlic
Garlic contains substances which prevent blood platelets from sticking together, which reduces the chance of life-threatening blood clots from forming and helps to improve circulation. Garlic also helps to prevent atherosclerosis which is the build-up of plaque in the arteries and a leading cause of heart attacks and strokes.
Cucumber
Cucumber has anti-hypertensive properties due to naturally occurring compounds called phthalides. These relax the tissues of the artery walls to increase blood flow and reduce blood pressure
Ginger
Ginger helps to reduce inflammation, has blood thinning effects, anti-hypertensive effect, cholesterol regulation, increased circulation, and overall heart health.
Lemon and carrot
Yellow and orange vegetables contain Vitamin C as well as several antioxidants such as carotenoids and bioflavonoids. These vegetables have been shown to help maintain a healthy heart and eyes.
